For the donut:
1/2 cup almond flour⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1/2 cup coconut flour⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
4 eggs⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1 tbsp maple syrup⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1 tsp baking soda⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1/8 tsp sea salt⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1.5 tsp cinnamon
For the coating:
1 tsp cinnamon⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1/4 cup coconut sugar⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3 tbsp melted coconut oil
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a donut pan with coconut oil or another healthy oil.
Mix donut ingredients together in a bowl and add mix to donut pan so they’re completely filled.
Bake for about 16 mins or until a toothpick comes out clean.
While the donuts are cooling, mix together the cinnamon and coconut sugar for the coating in a medium bowl and melt the coconut oil in another separate medium bowl.
Dunk or coat the tops of the donuts (or you could do all sides if you want) with coconut oil and then press them into cinnamon sugar mix and ensure it’s all coated.
