Okay guys, this is SO EASY! It seriously takes very little effort. This Dairy-Free Chipotle Cream Sauce is a favorite of mine and my husbands and we love to put it on everything. It goes so well on tacos, mixed in with veggies, or you could even put it on a salad or as pasta sauce…the opportunities are endless.

Since this has chipotle, it does have a little bit of heat! However, I personally don’t like things too hot, so this should be okay for most people. You can always adjust the amount of chipotle powder you add in.

And the best part is that it’s SUPER healthy and made totally dairy-free by using cashews!

You can make this sauce as thick or as thin as you want, all you have to do is adjust the amount of water you put into the recipe. If you’re looking for a super thick sauce, I suggest you add a little less water. My advice is just to add some water, blend, add more water and blend again until you get the consistency you’re looking for.

Ingredients for Dairy-Free Chipotle Cream Sauce:

  • Raw cashews (unsalted)
  • Garlic cloves
  • Nut milk (or other non-dairy milk of choice)
  • Water
  • Sea salt
  • Paprika
  • Chipotle powder

How to Make Dairy-Free Chipotle Cream Sauce:

This sauce is SO easy to make, you just need to start soaking the cashews an hour before you want to make it! So start by soaking the cashews in very hot water for an hour, then rinse and drain.

Add the cashews to a blender with all of the other ingredients and blend until mixed together. That’s all it takes!

  • Cook Time: 5 mins
  • Total Time: 1 hour 5 minutes
  • Yield: 2.53 cups 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups soaked cashews
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 cup nut milk (or other non-dairy milk of choice)
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp chipotle powder

Instructions

  1. Soak raw cashews in hot water for 1 hour.
  2. Drain cashews and add to blender along with all of the other ingredients.
  3. Blend until mixed together into a sauce.
  4. Enjoy!

Notes

If you want your sauce extra thick I suggest you add less water! You can make it as thick or as runny as you want!
