Ex: Sometimes I roll out of bed and the first thing I want to do is turn on my computer and get stuff done, even though it may not be the most wellness-inspired morning routine. Sometimes I take 3 hours and have a slow morning to myself. Both have led me to success in different ways. I don't really think one is better than the other.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Within the wellness culture, there's a lot of shoulds and should not's, but tuning in to my own needs and desires and not judging myself for them has made the biggest difference. There's nothing wrong with doing things differently than what others say (my aquarius rising love this lol 😊). I like to healthily question everything I believe and not just stick to something because it worked at one point or because others said so. I encourage you to do the same ✨⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

    Last night on stories I talked about how digging d Last night on stories I talked about how digging deeper into your emotions before your period can be a big way to grow and expand. A lot of people chalk these feelings up to just being "hormonal" and while it's definitely possible if your hormones are out of whack, MANY times it's our bodies way of telling us something is off and we need to make a change.
Before our period (and on our period), our intuition is heightened and we have a clearer sense of what's not working in our lives. It'd be a shame to ignore this voice and push it down but that's what a lot of women are taught to do - but we are powerful when we truly connect with this part of us.

    After the holidays, my body craves simplicity + ba After the holidays, my body craves simplicity + balanced meals. Not because I feel like I have to, but just because my body NEEDS it.
So I made a big batch of healthy TUSCAN COCONUT CHICKEN for the next few days, paired it with some sweet potato, a simple salad, and called it a day 😊 An easy, simple meal, but with a little flare and a little more flavor.

Ingredients for TUSCAN COCONUT CHICKEN:
-chicken (i used thighs, but breasts are good too)
-spices: oregano, thyme, salt + pepper
-garlic cloves
-cherry tomatoes
-coconut milk
-arugula (or other greens)
*optional: fresh parsley

Spending the holiday just the 4 of us. This year has been a little wild for sure but counting my blessings - so happy to celebrate Christmas in TN in our cozy home and have some quality time together.

On the agenda today and tomorrow: hot chocolate, christmas movies, long walks, extra sleep, probably sushi takeout and making paw print ornaments for beau + piper 🤪

As we approach more holiday festivities, don’t be afraid to let a little loose and have fun, but also set boundaries if you’re on a healing journey and you feel your body needs them. There’s nothing wrong with either! ❤️
