So easy to make at home you’ll likely never buy it again. And the best part is it’s free of any unwanted preservatives or unnecessary sugar and only 2 ingredients!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups of chopped strawberries
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 12 tbsp maple syrup, optional

Instructions

  1. Wash and cut up berries and add to a small pot.
  2. Add maple syrup if desired.
  3. Cook on medium heat on the stove while crushing the berries down a bit using a fork. Do this until the berries are broken down and more syrup-like. This usually takes about 5-10 mins.
  4. Turn off the heat, then add the chia seeds and stir together.
  5. Let stand for 5-10 mins or until thickened.

Notes

The strawberry chia jam will keep in the fridge for about a week.

If you’d like your jam to be more smooth, you can finish this recipe by blending in the blender until it reaches the desired consistency.
