When these balls are in the fridge as a quick, healthy snack, my life is 10 times better. These 5 Ingredient Energy Snack Balls are yep…only 5 ingredients, and so easy to make! These are no-bake (aka no real baking involved) and all you need is a food processor.

It’s important that my snacks have a good mix of protein, fat, and fiber, and I like a little healthy sugar too to sustain me and perk me up a little bit! These hit the spot. Made with only wholesome, healthy ingredients but still super delicious. These are gluten-free, dairy-free, refined sugar-free and vegan, so pretty much everyone can enjoy these cute little snacks!

I absolutely love the texture of these because they’re soft and a little bit fudgy! These should be stored in the fridge or freezer, and after they’ve been in the fridge I feel like they get an even better fudgy texture and taste. Not sure if that’s just me taking crazy pills or what but that’s my opinion!

If you’re looking for some other no-bake recipes, these Mint Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Balls are my FAVORITE!

Ingredients for 5 Ingredient Energy Snack Balls:

  • Medjool dates, pitted
  • Nut butter – I used almond butter, but any nut butter will work
  • Hemp hearts
  • Chia seeds
  • Coconut flour

That’s all you need! Just 5 clean, super healthy ingredients filled with tons of nutrients! You’ll be getting so much good fiber and healthy fats.

However, feel free to add in any additional mix-ins that you desire! I added some chocolate chips because…I love chocolate haha. But this would be so tasty with maybe some raisins, or any other dried fruit, or some fun spices like cinnamon.

If you’re making this for kids (or a picky husband), I recommend adding in some chocolate chips to make it a little sweeter and more fun!

How to Make 5 Ingredient Energy Snack Balls:

Don’t worry, these are SO easy to make. Just throw all of the ingredients into a food processor (make sure the pits are removed from the dates!) and blend until mixed together and it’s soft and mushy.

This is the food processor I’ve used for a while and I really love it – it’s pretty affordable and works great.

If you want to add in any additional mix-ins like chocolate chips, be sure to do this AFTER you’ve already mixed everything together in the food processor. This ensures the chocolate chips won’t get all chopped up and will keep its shape. To do this just add in chocolate chips (or other mix-in) after it’s mixed together and mix it up with a spoon.

Then just take the mixture and form them into little balls using your hands. Pop them in the fridge or freezer and you’re good to go!
