Don’t walk, RUN, to your grocery store so you can get these 8 ingredients and make these Healthy Brownie Cake Bars. Like almost all recipes on my blog, these are gluten-free, dairy-free, and refined sugar-free, and made with only clean, healthy ingredients.

I try to bring many of the recipes I make into Cole’s work since I can’t really eat everything I bake. And let’s just say that this one was a hit! It received a 10/10 from many people, so I think that says something!

And the texture of these brownies is so good, too! They’re springy and fluffy and just melt in your mouth. The texture is more similar to cake, which I think is a fun way to switch things up. And if you want to, you could easily turn this into a chocolate cake recipe.

However, if you’re looking for super fudgy brownies, I’ve got you covered, too. Try these delicious Sweet Potato Brownies! The added sweet potato keeps them incredibly soft and fudgy.

Ingredients for Healthy Brownie Cake Bars:

  • Eggs
  • Maple syrup
  • Avocado oil
  • Vanilla extract
  • Almond flour
  • Baking soda
  • Cacao powder
  • Chocolate chips

I’ve really been getting into baking with avocado oil lately. It’s such a healthy oil and doesn’t break down at normal baking temperatures like some other oils do. And I promise it does not taste like avocado at all!

If you want to ensure the recipe is gluten-free/dairy-free/refined sugar-free, make sure you choose the appropriate chocolate chips! The ones I used in this recipe were the Enjoy Life Foods Dark Chocolate Chips which are dairy-free/gluten-free/vegan but do have some cane sugar. These Lily’s Dark Chocolate Chips are refined sugar-free.

How to Make Healthy Brownie Cake Bars:

This recipe is simple! First start by preheating the oven and lining an 8″ x 8″ brownie pan with parchment paper or grease it with a healthy, non-stick oil.

Now mix the wet ingredients in a bowl, add the dry ingredients, then mix again. Add the brownie mix to your pan and spread it out so it’s all even. Add more chocolate chips on top if desired, although I highly recommend it!

Bake in the oven, let cool, cut into squares, and enjoy!
